LEVELEZÉS

Im Ungarischen hat das Wort „levél“ zwei Bedeutungen, ein Baumblatt oder einen Brief …
Das Wort „Levelezés“ kann zum einen als Briefwechsel oder zum anderen als Beschäftigung mit Baumblät-tern gedeutet werden. 
Dies macht den Titel „Levelezés“  zu einem poetisch subtilen Wortspiel,

                        „Levelezés“
Während eines Berliner Herbs-tes sammelte ich schöne Laubblät-ter, wählte einige davon aus und stellte mir ​die in ihnen verborge-nen Charaktere als Botschafter vor. Den Konturen dieser ima-ginären Gestalten folgend, zeichnete ich mit einem scharfen Skalpell in die Blätter, sodass Menschenähn-liche Formen entstanden.

Das Kunstprojekt „Levelezés“ ist eine Sammlung kunstvoll geschnit-tener Blätter und ihrer Fotografien -
eine organische Vollendung eines schöpferischen Prozesses. Das Kon-zept beruht darauf, dass das Sicht-bare aus der Dynamik der ausge-schnittenen Leerräume entsteht.
Die Methode erinnert an das Schattentheater – eine zweidimensi-onale Kunstform, in der die dritte Dimension erst in der Fantasie der Betrachtenden entsteht. Ähnlich ver-hält es sich mit der Rolle der Stille oder der Pause in der Musik sowie mit der räumlichen Tiefe der leeren Flächen in der chinesischen Tusche-malerei.
Die Arbeiten entstanden aus den Blättern heimischer Bäume – Ahorn, Eiche und Linde. In den geschnit-tenen Formen spiegeln sich Augen-blicke des Kreislaufs der Natur, Mo-mente, in denen das Blatt selbst zum Sinnbild der unendlichen Wie-derkehr wird.
Die Fotografien dieser Blätter eröff-nen eine eigene  Bildwelt, die auch in der Natur verborgene Kunst sicht-bar macht. Die Titel sind frei gewählte Fragmente, Zitate aus den Briefen von Franz Kafka.

The title "Levelezés" can therefore be interpreted both as an exchange of letters and as a dialogue with leaves.This poetic and subtle play on words may bring a smile to the lips of the beholder.

One autumn in Berlin, I collected colorful fallen leaves along the canals of Kreuzberg, imagining the characters hidden within them as messages speaking to me. Following the contours of these imaginary figures, I used a sharp scalpel to carve into the leaves, creating incisions of human-like beings.

The leaf became an image.
The image became a letter.

"Levelezés" is a collection of carved leaves and photographs of these works. It represents the organic unfolding of a creative process, based on the concept that the visual experience is shaped by the dynamics of empty forms cut from various materials. This method is analogous to the expressive style of shadow theatre a two dimensional genre where the third dimension is born in the viewer's imagination. It resembles the role of silence or a pause in music, or the spatial depth of empty surfaces as in Chinese ink painting.
The small-scale works of this project were created from the leaves of native trees: maple, oak, and linden. These carved forms capture a “cutting” moment in nature’s cyclical flow, symbolized by the leaf as an emblem of endless natural recur-rence. The photographs of the leaves form their own visual world, show-casing the art that lies inherently within nature. The poetic playfulness of the titles is drawn from fragments of Franz Kafka’s correspondence.

A „Levelezés" szó ezáltal jelenthet levélváltást, vagy akár falevelekkel való tevékenységet, illetve elfog-laltságot.

Egy berlini őszön a kreuzbergi csatornák partjain színes lehullott faleveleket válogattam, elképzelve a bennük rejlő karaktereket, mint hozzám szóló üzeneteket.
Majd a képzeletbeli alakok kontúrjait követve egy éles szikével rajzoltam a falevelekbe, melyekből így emberi lényeket idéző metszetek születtek.

A levél képpé vált. 
A képből levél lett.

A „Levelezés“ metszett falevelek és ezek fényképeinek a gyűjteménye. Egy alkotói folyamat organikus kiteljesedése melynek koncepciója, hogy a látványt a különböző anya-gokból kivágott üres formák dina-mikája teremti. A metódus az árny-színház kifejezésmódjával analóg, egy kétdimenziós műfaj, ahol a harmadik dimenzió a szemlélő fantáziájában születik. Hasonló lehet a csend vagy a szünet szerepe is a zenében valamint az üres felületek teressége a kínai tusfestészetben.  
E projekt tenyérnyi alkotásai ősho-nos fák: juhar, tölgy és hárs leveleiből készültek. A metszett formák egyúttal a természet kör-forgásának egy-egy „metsző” pilla-natát is idézik melyben a természet végtelen ciklikusságát a falevél szimbolizálja. A levelekről készült fényképek egy önálló képi világot alkotva jelenítik meg a természetben (is) rejlő művészetet. A címek költői játékossága válogatás Franz Kafka levelezéseinek töredékeiből.
